The UK engineering team is looking for an experienced Software Developer (Backend) to join their accomplished development team. As a software developer you must have at least 8+ years’ experience in software engineering technologies such as Java, Spring, grpc, MySQL, Tomcat and/or Apache, Linux. JavaScript, Redis, Message Queues and AWS is a nice to have.   

Required Skills and experience

Experience of Java development tools (JDK) and technologies.
Must have in-depth knowledge on core JAVA including new feature like LAMBDA, Concurrencies, String manipulations, Collections, Network etc.
Experience of developing highly performant, multi-threaded algorithms and memory profiling will be an additive advantage.
Experience in software engineering technologies such as Java, Spring, grpc, MySQL

Strong development exposure – full knowledge and experience of development life cycle

Essential Functions

Setup and maintain AWS server

Automate auto scaling of AWS server

Automate scheduled jobs to reduce labour intensive tasks

Integrate security deeply into the DevOps process

Using best practice security hardening, patching, granular role-based access, system administration, and configuration

Working with CI/CD tools, such as GitLab

Deploy the appropriate automated security testing tools.

valuating and on-boarding security tools such as RASP, WAF, SAST, vulnerability and open source scanning into the Security DevOps life cycle for multiple tech stacks.

Contributing features to internally developed Information Security tools and integrate those tools into the Security DevOps pipelines.

Education and Experience

Strategy and Operations:

Support in strategy development and implementation with business partners within the sales, brand, supply chain, HR and finance team in the global transformation program

Supporting the designing of new business models. processes and organizational and ways of working in own and operated retail as well as in wholesale sales channels
